I have had the pleasure of working with a fantastic professional photographer over the last few months, and I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to work with her.  I’d like to take a moment to introduce all of you wonderful Goosie Girl followers & fans to Andie Freeman Photography

The baby in the photo is wearing a Goosie Girl Original Autumn Blossoms headband)

Andie is a talented graphic artist, photographer and overall extremely professional business woman. I’ve been more than thrilled with the photographs/modeling she has done for me, I have never been disappointed and her photographs have always exceeded expectations! She’s quick, and has such a wonderful eye for detail. She truly has an artists point of view when behind her camera.

Be sure to check out her blog for her latest sessions, and if you’re in the Athen’s Georgia area, I would highly recommend you book an appointment with her!

I’m a HUGE fan of hats for babies, as you’ve probably guessed by now! However, the hats I make are really only suited for girls, so I was boppin along I happened to stumble upon this crochet artist/designer and I am simply in LOVE with her handcrafted hats for boys! Wow! You’ve GOT to check out her Etsy Shop . I think these would make a LOVELY new baby or baby shower gift, even if you don’t have little ones, just think of how thrilled a new mommy would be to get an original hat of Adriennes! I could just look at her amazing photos all day, they are just too cute!

I sooo admire her work!

This is a dear friend of mine, Holly~and she’s like an amazing makeup guru (yes, I hate that word but it’s the only way to describe her in this realm!) Holly is all-knowing and so uber knowledgable when it comes to cosmetics! She now has her VERY own channel on You Tube too! I’ve never used liquid eyeliner, but I am now, she made it so easy to do! Check it out: (and subscribe to her channel!!)

I just found the funkiest chair on Etsy!!

It’s a wooden chair decoupauged with MAPS!!

How cool is this?! As much as I am a supporter of supporting other indie designers and artisans, Goosie girl lives on a budget and I don’t have the fundage to purchase a $500 (+ $100 to ship it from the UK)

map covered chair…so I am going to try to make one myself!!

How COOL would it be to have one of these conversation pieces in your home?? I know, maybe I’m weird but I’m totally digging it! I started thinking, wouldn’t it be cool to make one with a map of somewhere you vacation (like Las Vegas or Miami)??

OOOH this has my creative juices flowing tonight! Now I’m going to be up all night looking for maps on the internet…

Another inspiring item I saw from the same artist was this funky & whimsical comic strip decoupauged mirror! What a fun thing to have! I loooove it! Wouldn’t it be a blast in a game room, or a kids room??

Have you ever had a favorite cd (or for you older peeps, cassette or 8track) that you listened to SOOOO much that you wore them out and had to replace them? I’m a complete music freak and I’ve done this so many times. I’ve often had to buy and rebuy cds because they wore out! Thank goodness for digital music downloads in this age otherwise I’d still be buying the same 10 cd’s over & over again (it would be like groundhog day, except no Bill Murray…and no groundhog…well, you get the idea).

So I made a list of the TOP 10 played cd’s of all time from Goose’s music collection. I know every word to every song, and have bought a few copies of most of them. I have a fairly eclectic taste when it comes to music but I was surprised to see a lot of my selections are acoustic or  the front woman is a strong female vocalist

…anyone else dig these cd’s?

Until They Wore Out!

What’s the latest trend in footwear for fall?

Rubber rain boots, my friends…rubber rain boots!

Nooooooo, these are not your mama’s rainboots kids!

This is the era of  the FANTASTIC, the NEW and the TRENDY rubber boots. They’re hitting the runways, they’re in the park, they’re in the museums, and they’re in the grocery store, they are showing up EVERYWHERE… and they OUGHT to be in your autumn footwear stash!

New life has been breathed into this old standard with fun and funky designs & prints. They can go from walking the dog to a night on the town peeps! There are SOOO many varieties out there too, I’ll share some of my favorites and a secret for taking these awesome steppers from the first sighting of the maple leaves turning color …all the way to when the first snowflakes start to fly!

What is all the rage in rain boots (also called “Wellies” after the original rainboot made popular several decades ago by the UK brand, Wellington) these days? …

I’ll take Outrageous prints, plaids, animal prints, stripes, polkadots for $500 Alex!

One of my favorite brands of Wellington style rainboots are CHOOKAS, I love them for their off beat prints, such as vintage tattoo and retro punk inspired styles. CHOOKA has hit the mainstream with such retailers as Dillards but I personally prefer to shop online at one of my most fave shoe addict enabling sites, Street Moda You can score a pair of Chookas for anywhere from $24.99 up to $55.00 with very affordable shipping. I just ADORE this Asian-Inspired Chooka sporting the fantastically detailed Koi on the side! These are going to be on Goose’s tootsies in a matter of weeks, my friends! Aren’t they to die for cute?

Some of my other fave Chookas available right now are the styles with

 Tat and Asian inspired looks…

(aren’t they a blast??)

I personally NEVER wear winter boots because I just don’t like them~they’re too heavy in my opinion; and they feel clunky and dowdy. I live for cute shoes, and putting on a pair of snow boots is like someone waterboarding me… even with the last couple years of the Ugg trend, I just couldn’t do it…However, living in Chicago, I really need to wear some sort of boots on my feet in winter, but  NOW I have the PERFECT solution to this problem!

L.L. Bean sells an ingenious product called,  Wellie Warmers; which basically means…you can traipse your really SMART-looking-rain-boot-wearing-self all the way into the cold and snowy months of winter! These retail for only $19.99 + shipping, what a great idea to extend the way cool look of your Wellies! They’re like liners for your Wellies, they help keep your tootsies warm in colder weather so now you can be awesome-looking all the way thru winter!

Why?

Ok, time to come clean…
